Crondall Entertainers Page
The Crondall Entertainers Community Association (CECA) became a Registered Charity (No 1063032) in 1997 and under the banner of The Crondall Entertainers, has staged plays and pantomimes in Crondall Village Hall since 1982.The building known as The Old Gym became their home in 1995.
The building has been entirely renovated with a £100,000 grant from the National Lottery Charities Board and a £45,000 grant from Hart District Council in 1999 re-opening in 2000. It is available for hire for sporting and social events.
We have welcomed Fleet Football Club Juniors who used it last year when their practice ground became unavailable, the Crondall Football Club, Mini Tennis, Badminton (take a penalty for hitting the beams!), fencing and social gatherings of all sorts.
We are currently hosting the Crondall Stepping Stones, a pre-school learning group, who use The Old Gym for five mornings a week in term time. Other social uses are children's parties, christening parties and wedding reception. The Crondall Entertainers use it for play reading, rehearsals, storage of costumes and set constructions.
